…somehow even though this year i went on both Saturday (5/7) & Sunday (5/8), i ended up with fewer (share-worthy) shots than last year because i was so busy doing stuff with people… also had to edit these photos mostly on my phone because i’m still in need of a new laptop. sigh! [/whining] anyway, Tokyo Rainbow Pride itself was better than ever this year, i think. a more asexual (/non-binary!) specific photoset and a (long) write-up about my TRP shenanigans will be posted shortly….

QAC 42 – Yokohama Rainbow Festa + Tokyo Meanderings | Tag Along

Yokohama recently hosted its first Pride event, Yokohama Rainbow Festa! i decided to go and bring you all along for the fun. 🙂 it’s super rare that i find things for ace, non-binary and other lesser-known orientations at a Pride event, especially in Japan, but this year i found quite a bit made by local artists. after Yokohama i headed to Tokyo where i met a new friend and fellow non-binary ace. we had yummy vegan food before heading to Shibuya where things got a bit…. Halloween-mob-crazy. just finished walking with Stonewall Japan in the Tokyo Pride Parade! みんな、お疲れ様です！ having a great time, although i want to smack people upside the head every time they refer to this event as “gay pride”. way to erase everyone else, guys (*｀Д´)ノ！！！ edit: …so like 15 minutes of the most acephobic shit just happened while we were sitting here with our ace pride sign. like HOLY SHIT, that was the most awkward, offensive 15 minutes (that felt like 30) in my life. and i got 10minsish of it on video. will post it soon. UGH.

Asexy Aces at Tokyo Rainbow Pride 2014 (04/27/2014)

in the beginning there were but three of us, but by the end there were five. 🙂 three of us actually met in a meetup thread on AVEN where i instigated our meetup and sign making for #TRP2014. then while walking in the parade it just so happened that L, who was walking behind us, happened to be ace herself! after the parade i was lucky enough to catch up with SHYNAMITES, whose non-binary pride sign i’d passed during the parade. when i asked to take zir photo, ze told me that ze’s asexual too!
