Feedback: “Hey i saw somewhere that u made that cool infographic a few years ago…”

    August 30, 2017 /

anonymous said: Hey i saw somewhere that u made that cool infographic a few years ago and i just wanted to thank you. I hope this was ok (i was 15 at the time so not aware of likw plagiarism and ahit) but i ended up using that infographic on some sexuality sheets i made to help people around me understand better lgbt+ identities. With that fueled a life of activism and enthusiasm towards educating people about lgbt+ stuff, the sheets even helped a few of my friends come out! And some of them discovered what their identities were! I’ve now reached a point where i got to make my own (non-infographic-plagiarised) pamphlets (all fancily printed) for my universitys lgbt+ socs freshers bags so 100s of people in one go will be seeing them! So basically thank you, you were part of this journey i’ve gone on and what you…

Feedback: “anon who asked abt alternatives to neutrois – your answer was helpful!”

    August 24, 2017 / No Comments

anonymous said: anon who asked abt alternatives to neutrois – your answer was helpful! i haven’t seen much discussion abt neutrois as a term, so it’s good to know i’m at least not the only person who feels this way. ( re: this post ) thanks for coming back and responding. 🙂 indeed, despite the lack of talk about neutrois these days, you’re most definitely not alone. i’m sorry that months later, i still don’t have an alternative to neutrois to suggest to you, though… as i mentioned in a recent ask, i feel like even though there are people who do use ‘agender’ to mean ‘a complete lack of gender’ (ie. genderlessness), at the same time there are a lot of people who use ‘agender’ to mean something else, including ‘gender neutral’ (ie. not genderless, but rather a gender that is itself neutral). this may be nothing more than a faulty…

anonymous said: Hello! I’m Pangrayromantic and asexual. I feel so weird just admiting this, I’ve know I was asexual since I was 12, and I felt broken. Till this day I still know, but I reject it, mostly because the world has what I don’t have and I feel like I have to catch up. I feel like my asexuality dosnt fit in and it isn’t important, but this is mostly because I lack a sexuality lol. But it’s amazing to see another African American , who’s in the asexual and pan community! hi! sorry for taking so long to respond to your message. i hope you’re doing well, in spite of recent events… i’m sorry to hear that you’ve struggled with (and continue to struggle with) your (a)sexuality for so long. while i personally do not view my asexuality as being a lack of sexuality, i can still imagine…

I’ve always heard the aro flag that just replaced purple with green was “made by someone problematic”, so I’m glad you brought that post to light (there’s also the issue of that being the most popular androsexual flag), but… I don’t think you need to worry much :p (re: this post) …honestly, what surprises (and embarrasses) me is the fact that i even forgot about how problematic those flag designs are because, reflecting back on it now, i remember color-swapped flags being part of a larger issue that eventually became at least somewhat prominently discussed on Tumblr? that larger issue being the nature of the relationship between the asexual and aromantic communities, a topic that i hardly see discussed at all these days. which is…

Feedback: “Thank you for defending us aporagender people…”

    August 1, 2017 /

anonymous said: Hey! Thank you for defending us aporagender people even if it’s not your problem! Really, thank you so much. It felt like some posts were attacking us directly. Many of us are almost incapable of trying to fight back because the nature of the posts were becoming rather violent and, personally, they made me afraid of coming out as my gender in public. ( re: this post? ) no need to thank me, anon. i’m just sorry that the incessant ‘discourse’ (to use le mot à la mode) that always seems to come and go on this site regarding maverique / aporagender / aliagender and “third gender” has caused you and others so much distress… whether i be aporagender myself or not, it is still very much my problem and has been since before either “maverique” or “aporagender” were coined. furthermore, as someone who has weathered multiple reiterations…

anonymous said: Just wanted to say I love watching your youtube videos. They are very interesting to listen to and very informative. Can’t wait to see more in the future! thank you for watching, anon, and for this incredibly kind message. it’s hard for me to see my videos as being anything more than me letting off steam / thinking aloud in front of a camera, so it’s flattering to hear someone describe them as informative. i look forward to making more videos in the future. 🙂
