    QAC 65.5 – Understanding T Injection Dosages || HRT | Non-Binary | Trans

    February 18, 2018 / No Comments

for those not familiar with reading syringes or dosages in general, figuring out how to read or calculate dosages of testosterone injections can be confusing. while i’m certainly no expert at it myself (and as such, please do correct me if i’ve gotten something wrong), i have yet to see any other video specific to this topic in regards to testosterone for non-binary, trans and gender non-conforming people, so i figured i’d try my hand at it. the usual “I AM NOT A DOCTOR” disclaimer applies. …iono, maybe someone out there will find this video helpful. meanwhile, i’m tired of flooding my own channel with nothing but HRT-related videos. time to talk about other things. soonish. zzz…

Q&A: what’s it like being a QPOC living in Japan?

    February 14, 2018 / No Comments

anonymous asked: Hey! Since you’re living in Japan and are a Lgbt Person of colour, do you get discriminated or something like that? (Cuz You’re not white (asian) or because you’re lgbt+?) I want to move to Japan (or south korea) and I’m also a poc and Trans*, so I wanna know how it is to live there as a Lgbt+ Person of colour. (Sry for my english haha it’s not my first language~) hi. 🙂 ahhh, this is a complicated question with complicated answers, but the short of it is “yes” regarding discrimination / prejudice based on race and “yes and no” regarding discrimination / prejudice based on sexuality / gender. you might be interested in checking out my #black in japan tag and / or #LGBTQIA in Japan page for more information, but generally speaking… life for me in Japan may or may not be anything like what life for you…

Q&A: “How exactly would I ever come out [as asexual] to my parents?”

    October 15, 2017 /

anonymous said: This is random but haiii , i just wanted to stop by and say you are amazing.. You helped me a lot with my sexuality(Asexual) and I would like to thank you ^~^ but I do have one question.. How exactly would I ever come out to my parents? ohai, anon. thanks for the kind words. 🙂 also, sorry about my slow response, especially if you were hoping for a reply ahead of National Coming Out Day. i can’t tell you how exactly to come out to your parents. the question of if you should even come out at all and if yes, when? how? where? etc is entirely up to you. not everyone comes out to their parents for various reasons and it’s important that you give due consideration as to whether you should come out to yours or not, not just how to do it. remember that…

Q&A: “Hi, I identify as bi and aro and I’ve been questioning being on the asexual spectrum for a year…”

    October 2, 2017 / No Comments

anonymous said: (part 1/2) Hi, I identify as bi and aro and I’ve been questioning being on the asexual spectrum for a year but I can’t get anywhere. I’ve always noticed I wasn’t attracted to my partners even before I knew asexuality existed but oddly, it didn’t bothered me or made me question things on the moment. However, I can have fantasies about people I know or celebrities but it never becomes reality. When I have sex with my partners, it’s because I have a libido and I feel emotionally good with them. (part 2/2) I can’t relate with most ace stories since I have fantaisies, a libido and sex. But at the same time, I can’t totally relate either with allosexual way of things. And being bi means I exist in that weird paradox where I can’t draw the line between being attracted to all genders or none. I…

    Q&A: “what does Xジェンダー mean?”

    August 31, 2017 / No Comments

anonymous said: Heya! Sorry to bother you, but what does Xジェンダー mean? Is it literally the Japanese translation of non-binary? Or has the same meaning? a word that refers to a gender identity; a term unique to Japan to refer to people who do not identify as either of the two genders, male and female, that are assigned at birth, but rather self-identifies as neither male nor female, both male and female or as a different gender entirely. while i don’t have any sources to link to at the moment, i’m fairly certain that Xジェンダー was coined in Japan completely independent of “non-binary” in the English language. in fact, i’m also fairly certain that it was coined before usage of “non-binary” in reference to gender in English, but again, no source links because i’m too tired to dig for them. either way, Xジェンダー is…

Q&A: “What mic do you use to record your videos?”

    August 31, 2017 / No Comments

anonymous said: Hi Vesper! What mic do you use to record your videos? hi anon. 🙂 i’ve been using a RØDE VideoMic Pro for the past 10 months because for awhile i lived in a very noisy apartment and the street noise in all of my videos finally got to me. no matter what i did, the camera’s built-in mic was just too good at picking up ambient noise from outside my apartment. that said, for 3 years prior to that i used the camera’s built-in mic and the built-in mic was fine until i moved to the paper-thin-walled apartment. generally speaking, external mics tend to be unnecessary, especially when just starting out on YouTube, because built-in mics tend to be decent these days. that said, if you do find yourself needing an external mic, there’s no reason to fork out the kind of cash that i did for mine. there are…

Q&A: “I think I may be asexual. I romanticize the idea of being with a male partner later, but then I’m a maladaptive dreamer…”

    August 30, 2017 / No Comments

anonymous said: So I have a question. I think I may be asexual. I romanticize the idea of being with a male partner later, but then I’m a maladaptive dreamer. I have issues with trusting people, men specifically. I don’t have any sexual attraction to men, I occasionally get crushes, which are romantic in nature, but never sexual. I do masturbate, but more like a release than actual arousal, Infact I don’t even get aroused that much. Couple moths back I kissed a guy on impulse and it disgusted me. Please help. [ cw: masturbation, arousal mentions ] hello, anon. sorry for taking so long to respond to your ask. i don’t know how much help i’ll be as i can’t tell you whether you’re asexual or not (that’s something you’ll ultimately have to decide for yourself), but… someone asked me how to know whether they’re ace or not awhile…

Q&A: “…does [maverique] coexist with genderfluidity?”

    August 30, 2017 / No Comments

anonymous said: I had a question about maverique. I am genderfluid and I am sometimes a boy, a girl, agender, or bigender but I have another gender that I normally just call yellow because I was uncomfortable with the term gender neutral. Maverique sounds like the perfect description for it. Is it okay to use it when describing my possible genders or does it not coexist with genderfluidity. Thank you! hello, anon. maverique is no different from any other gender in that some maveriques are monogender (ie. only have one gender, that being maverique) while others have or experience multiple genders, one of which is maverique. if you’re comfortable describing yourself as maverique, then by all means please do. know that you don’t need an ‘okay’ from me (or anyone else) to do so, although thanks to you and many others asking, i can say with confidence that you’d be in…

Q&A: “Is Maverique basically no gender as your gender identity?”

    August 1, 2017 / No Comments

anonymous said: Is Maverique basically no gender as your gender identity? Kinda like how Agender is genderness. Maverique is no gender as your gender? sorry for the delayed response, anon, but i think you’ve got maverique and agender confused…? agender is commonly described as being (among other things) genderless, gender neutral and / or non-participatory in gender all together (as opposed to being a gender itself). maverique, on the other hand, is none of those things. maverique is described as having an explicit gender (as opposed to not having a gender at all). that gender (ie. maverique) is unrelated to either female or male gender, but at the same not “neutral” just because it happens to be independent of those two genders. for more information, you may (or may not) find this post helpful. there’s also the FAQ page over at @maveriques.

Q&A: “I was wondering if maverique individuals can sexually/medically transition.”

    July 3, 2017 / No Comments

anonymous said: Hi! I currently started identifying as your term maverique and I was wondering if maverique individuals can sexually/medically transition. I’m DFAB and I used to identify as trans non binary hi! sorry for taking so long to get back to you. while the concept of “transitioning” by undergoing surgery and / or other pursuing other medical changes to one’s body is most commonly associated with (binary) transgender people, anyone of any gender can (and do) pursue these things. including maveriques.
